It's been a week since Viraj came to my house. I don't get a call or message from him, and yet, I can't stop thinking about the kiss.
In the book, this never happens. The hero and the villainess never share a moment like that. It’s always supposed to follow a different path, and that’s it. No lingering tension, no unresolved feelings.
But now... I’m left here, questioning everything.
I shake myself out of those thoughts, forcing my mind to focus. I need to make my next move, my next step. I get ready, and using the memories of my previous self, I make my way to my parents' house. When I arrive, I can’t help but notice how grand and beautiful the house is. The tall, ornate gates stand at the entrance, guarded by thick ivy climbing up their frames. As I step through, the wide driveway leads me to a massive mansion, built with grand columns and expansive windows that reflect the sunlight in a way that makes the entire structure glow. The marble floors inside are polished to perfection, and intricate chandeliers hang from the high ceilings, casting a soft, golden light across the rooms. Each room is carefully designed with elegant furniture and luxurious decor, befitting the Mehra family's prestigious reputation. The walls are adorned with rich tapestries, and the scent of fresh flowers fills the air.
In the Mehra family, there are four people. Her grandfather, Aman Mehra, known for his no-nonsense attitude and high expectations. He commands respect with just a glance, and his presence is enough to make anyone straighten up.
When it comes to family or his reputation, he will do anything to protect it. He was the one who denied the love between his son—my father—and the heroine’s mother, simply because the heroine’s mother’s status was far lower than his family’s. He couldn’t tolerate the thought of his son marrying someone deemed unworthy, so he demanded that my father leave her and marry a woman from a family with a better reputation. When my father refused, he didn’t hesitate to force the heroine’s mother to leave him, which she eventually did. Afterward, he pushed my father to marry a woman from a well-respected family.
Though he can be cunning, I know he loves his granddaughter deeply. He would do anything for her.
When prisha father brought the heroine into the house and introduced her as his other granddaughter, Aman Mehra refused to accept her. Even when Viraj sent prisha to the mental asylum, he opposed him, but despite his efforts, he could never help her. After Prisha’s death, his health began to decline, and within a year, he too passed away.
The second member is prisha's father -Rohan Mehra
Rohan Mehra was once a kind and cheerful man who fell deeply in love with Kavita, the heroine's mother. However, their love story was cut short when his father, Aman Mehra, rejected their relationship. Unable to bear the pressure, Kavita broke up with him and left. Heartbroken, Rohan searched for her everywhere but couldn’t find her, and over time, this heartbreak turned him into a cold and distant man.
Under his father’s pressure, Rohan eventually married Tanya Kapoor, a woman from a well-respected family. But he never loved her, and their relationship remained cold and strained. A year later, while working in a village, Rohan unexpectedly reunited with Kavita. They discovered that their love for each other hadn’t faded and quickly grew close again. They began meeting frequently, and before long, Kavita became pregnant.
When Kavita’s parents disowned her upon learning about her pregnancy, she turned to Rohan for help. Rohan, determined to be there for her, brought her to a separate house he owned and took care of her during her pregnancy. Even after their child was born, he kept Kavita and the baby hidden for two years, fearing his father’s wrath and the potential harm Aman might cause them.
When their child turned two, Rohan decided it was time to divorce Tanya and marry Kavita. However, upon bringing Kavita and the child to his family home, he discovered that Tanya was also pregnant. At first, Rohan refused to believe the child was his, but a paternity test proved otherwise. Aman Mehra used this as a reason to forbid the divorce and refused to let Rohan marry Kavita.
Kavita, devastated by Tanya’s pregnancy, felt betrayed. Without warning, she fled with her child. Despite Rohan’s desperate attempts to find them, they seemed to have vanished completely. To this day, Rohan harbors deep resentment toward both his father, Aman, and Prisha, blaming them for taking away his love and his child.
Tanya Mehra, née Kapoor, is Prisha’s mother and Rohan Mehra’s wife. She comes from a well-respected family with a strong social reputation, which made her a perfect match in Aman Mehra’s eyes. However, Tanya's life has been anything but perfect.
Tanya entered the Mehra family through an arranged marriage orchestrated by Aman Mehra. From the beginning, her relationship with Rohan was strained. Rohan, still heartbroken over losing Kavita, was emotionally unavailable and cold towards Tanya. Despite her best efforts to build a life with him, Tanya was always treated with indifference.
The lack of love in their marriage left Tanya feeling lonely and unwanted. However, she remained loyal to Rohan, believing that time and patience might change things. Her loyalty wasn’t enough to save their marriage. When she learned about Rohan’s relationship with Kavita, it shattered her. Despite knowing about Kavita’s presence, Tanya chose not to confront Rohan directly, fearing the consequences and unwilling to lose her place in the Mehra family.
When Tanya discovered she was pregnant, she hoped the child would finally bring Rohan closer to her. But even her pregnancy couldn’t mend their broken relationship. Rohan initially denied the child was his, and the matter was only resolved after a paternity test confirmed it. This further deepened the emotional distance between them, leaving Tanya to raise her child alone in a cold and loveless marriage.
After Prisha’s death, Tanya was devastated. Prisha had been her only source of happiness, the only person who gave her love and purpose in an otherwise empty life. With Prisha gone, Tanya’s world crumbled, leaving her in a state of despair. Her grief soon turned to bitterness, and she began to resent Swati, the heroine. She blamed Swati for everything that went wrong, refusing to see her as a part of the family and harboring hatred toward her until her final days.
In the end, Tanya realized she could never find love or acceptance from Rohan. Their marriage, already fractured beyond repair, finally broke under the weight of her grief and loneliness. She decided to divorce Rohan, but even after leaving him, she could never overcome her despair. Tanya died alone, consumed by the pain of losing her daughter and the emptiness of a life without love.
